Environmental Education – Energy versus the Environment
Seminar on “environmental education – Energy versus the environment” will be held on Wednesday 15 October 2014 from 18.00 to 20.00, in permanent educational exhibition energy-environment.
Teachers of primary schools in the Prefecture of Heraklion can attend the seminar for free.

Main objectives of the seminar
To demonstrate the need and the pedagogical value of environmental education (environment, proper use of energy, renewable energy sources).
To inform teachers about the frameworks that exist and can use in teaching as well as in project design with topic environment-energy.
To be informed by other colleagues about the difficulties and problems arising and ways of coping in teaching.
To highlight the importance of sustainable development, regarding its design taking seriously economic, social and environmental issues, and ways in which all these concepts can be taught to children with a viable manner.
To allow teachers to present projects that have done with their students in order to motivate others to become an annual event.
