RESEARCH-EXPERIMENTS-GAMES in Education for the Environment
For a third year at the educational exhibition ENERGY-ENVIRONMENT, free seminar for teachers of primary schools in the Prefecture of Heraklion is scheduled. The seminar “RESEARCH-EXPERIMENTS-GAMES in education for the environment” will be held on Wednesday, 16 November 2016 from 17.30 to 21.00 at the educational exhibition ENERGY-ENVIRONMENT.
All interested are requested to register by email [email protected] or by phone 6972507155 from 9.00 to 13.00 until November 10th, stating your full name, your specialty and school appointed to, your email address and telephone number. The entries will be confirmed by email. Due to the limited number, seats will be given in order of priority. Mrs. Despina Choumerianou, Dr. in Molecular Biology, Tour and Educational Programmes Manager of exhibition ENERGY-ENVIRONMENT, will present the subject ‘Proposal for methodological approach and analysis of environmental news from the students’.
Mr. George Sbokos, Dr. in Public Law, Professor in the Postgraduate Programme of Chemistry department ‘Science and Environmental engineering’ at the University of Crete, will speak on ‘Critical thinking and primary education’.
Mrs. Mareini Markaki, MSc in Civil Engineer, and Mr. Emmanouil Karapidakis, Dr. in Electrical Engineer NTUA, Assistant Professor in Energy Systems, School of Applied Sciences, TEI of Crete, will speak on ‘Sustainable energy future’.
Mrs. Julia Laretzaki, Physicist, will present Experiments with simple materials.
Mrs. Jenny Papayannakis, Teacher in 60 IP with training in special education and Theatrical play, will present the topics ‘Exploring the environment cross-curricularly and experientially, Land – Air – Water – Fire. The four elements of nature as inspiration, energy and Sustainability’ and ‘Experiential activities targeted at developing students’ motivation and concerns from teachers of primary education’.
